Oven-roasted turkey, pumpkin pie and my personal favorite, herb stuffing. For most Americans, these foods make us think of the holidays. Many of us (myself included) are looking forward to feasting on our favorite seasonal dishes, surrounded by our loved ones.
But not everyone is so eager for the holidays. In fact, for some people in our local area who are struggling to put food on the table, providing a festive feast for their families is out of the question.
The good news is that we can help.
We’ve kicked off our annual food drive to help share the joy of the holiday season with the less fortunate in our community. During last year’s drive, we collected over 1,500 lbs. of food for local food banks. Thank you to all of you generous folks who donated!
Donate Food and Receive $5 Off Any AC Service
From now until December 31st, you will receive a $5 discount on your total invoice for air conditioning service when you donate at least two nonperishable food items.
Our plumbing division, Ray’s Complete Plumbing, is also offering $5 off any plumbing service.
All food items donated will go directly to Englewood Helping Hand and the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition and into the hands of struggling people in Sarasota and Charlotte counties. Both organizations have been providing food and other important assistance to the poverty-stricken in our community for many years.
Together, we can make a difference. Let’s do our part to help make this holiday season a joyful one for all residents of our community.
