Your air conditioner has two primary jobs: cooling your home and keeping it comfortable. A common myth is that a big air conditioner will accomplish both tasks more effectively than a smaller system. After all, a bigger, more powerful system means more cool air, faster, right? While there’s truth to this, a larger AC does not always equal more comfort. In fact, an AC that is too big – or too small – for your home can cause several problems down the road.
When buying a new AC, choosing between variable speed, single stage or two stage will impact your electric bill and your comfort. In this post, we’ll unpack what makes a variable speed system superior to the rest.
Have you noticed any areas in your home that always tend to be warmer or cooler than others? The good news – uneven temperature is a common problem. The even better news – there’s something you can do about it. Let’s explore five common causes of hot and cold spots with simple solutions. Then, we’ll delve into four other potential problem areas that call for more complex remedies.
Hi Ted,
I called Kobie's number at 8:20 this evening and told the operator that our air conditioner had quit working. Within 10 min. your serviceman, Jonathan, called to ask about the problem. About 20 min. later he arrived, and fortunately it was not a major problem. I have the service contract and I must say how completely satisfied I am with the service from your company, and how friendly Jonathan was.I was amazed that we could get service that quick on a August night in Florida. We are sure glad we had this unit installed by Kobie in 2011.Bill & Linda C. - Venice FL
