Note: This tax credit expired at the end of 2016. Any qualified equipment installed prior to January 1, 2017 is eligible for this credit. Equipment installed on or after January 1, 2017 is not eligible for this credit.
What is the Tax Credit?
The Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit covers purchases of qualifying new HVAC equipment made before December 31st, 2016. Plus, good news – it also retroactively applies to purchases of air conditioners and heat pumps made starting January 1, 2015.
